I think it is the era, I remember my uncles telling me before I left for


Desert Shield, I don't want to hear you come back with battle fatigue, that is a bunch of BS.
One landed at Normandy and fought to the end. Got two Purple Hearts, Silver Star and battlefield commission after the Bulge. One was on a destroyer at Pearl on 7 Dec and the other landed at Guadalcanal. These men grew up in tough times. After the war they came home sucked it up and went to work rebuilding the country. I know that my training in the early 80's was much easier then Vietnam an that was easier than WW2. Military today worries about PT and not making a fighting man. It has become to PC, I know most will disagree with this but we have become too soft.
